NOAA SWDI includes radar-derived signatures and storm reports. An empty search does not establish that no storm occurred. Station wind observations apply at the reporting station, not necessarily at the property. Record the station, distance, time zone and units with supporting evidence. Iowa State wind speed and gust fields are in knots; multiply by 1.15078 for mph. Radar and station research is saved separately from modeled weather.
For reported U.S. hail/wind events, cross-check NOAA Storm Events or other independently documented observations before making claim assertions.
